As a mother Sheila faced the unbearable, the joy of giving birth to twin daughters only to be told her beloved daughters were born with incurable heart diseases. Dedicated in loving memory to Naomi and Salah Wilkins, Beacons of Hope was written to provide comfort and a helping hand to others finding themselves walking the heart-rending path of tears, sleepless nights, medical procedures and despair.
During this tragic journey, there was little in the literary world that provided comfort and guidance. Nothing answered the hard questions such as ‘Why?’ and ‘Where is God?’ The book is meeting with great success.
